Introduction

oBC Cell( Special Unit for Backward Classes and Minorities)

Special Unit for Backward Classes and Minorities has been working very smartly in Kannada University for almost 25 years. About 300 students have studied internally in various departments of Kannada University in various courses like Ph.D., M.A.Ph.D., M.Sc.Yoga, M.A. Journalism, M.Music, B.Music, Visual Arts etc. Students are provided free meals and accommodation in two separate hostels. In addition, free Wi-Fi is provided by the university. The system is done. SSP to all students in the form of fee reimbursement through the unit. The fee refund will be directly credited to the student’s account. Apart from this, Devaraj Arasu, Pupil Scholarship and Maulan Azad Pupil Scholarship are provided to the students. JRF, SRF, ICSSR and ICHR scholarships are provided to students by the state and central governments. And on the occasion of the birth anniversary of D.D.Devaraju Arasu, a special lecture and other recitation programs are being conducted by the special unit. Thus the unit has been making many poems for the academic development of the students.
