The texts (both written and oral) are placed in the larger matrix of culture to research on various issues related to history, society, polity. The literary texts are read and interpreted in the light of recent theories so as to re-read them from the context of the present. A Chair in the name of centre Halumatha Adhyayana Peetha has been Started in Kannada University. A Sum of Rs 30 Lakh as corpus and Govt grant has been mobilised through donations from the leaders in the Halumatha Community. Under aegis of this chair, Programmes comprising academic studies, Seminars, Workshops, Conference related to the Halumatha Social community, literature, culture, arts, history etc. would be anchored.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Vision & Mission” tab_id=”1553065045826-277dc92f-a90d”][vc_column_text el_class=”language-list”]<\/p>\n

Major Programmes & contribution of the Chair\u00a0<\/strong><\/h6>\n

In association with various organizations and Societies in the state, Seminars and Special lectures about Halumatha literature, culture, arts, community etc. will be organized. Tradition and customs of Halumatha community will be appropriately documented in audio and video and the same will be circulated. Extending financial support to projects related to Halumatha literature and culture. Art, folklore, customs and traditions will be undertaken and the results will be published in book form thereof. Extensive bibliographies related to the Halumatha literature and culture available in books and journals will be compiled.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Staff Details” tab_id=”1551784449096-4b205894-d538″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
