The texts (both written and oral) are placed in the larger matrix of culture to research on various issues related to history, society, polity. The literary texts are read and interpreted in the light of recent theories so as to re-read them from the context of the present. The Department has so far organized several seminars and come out with publications on Cultural interface of old texts from the point of view of present context of globalization, nativism and other issues.[\/stm_title][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1551353409867{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}” el_id=”welcome-about”][vc_column_inner][vc_single_image image=”3886″ img_size=”1000X400″ css=”.vc_custom_1558677749545{margin-top: 10px !important;}”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]Regional Office and Prasaranga book sales section of Kannada University is situated at the heart of Bengaluru city. It is an extension centre of the university. University use to communicate with the government for its official works through this centre.<\/p>\n

The main objectives of this extension centre is to get the information about the facilities which are sanctioned by the government related to the university. Such as new projects, grants for administration and development works etc., In another way it submit the reports of the activities of the university to the government.<\/p>\n

Prasaranga publication section of Kannada University has been opened its sales counter in this Regional Office. The books published by Prasaranga are available for sales in this counter. Students and Readers purchase the books. Books also supplied to the book sellers and public libraries. This sales counter is spreading over the knowledge among the people.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
