The texts (both written and oral) are placed in the larger matrix of culture to research on various issues related to history, society, polity. The literary texts are read and interpreted in the light of recent theories so as to re-read them from the context of the present. INTRODUCTION<\/strong><\/h6>\n

In 2018, the Kannada University’s ‘ Dr. A.N. \u00a0Upadhye\u00a0 Extension Center’<\/strong> was set up in collaboration with the Bharatesh Institution in Belgaum. Emphasizing collection, editing, documentation, analysis, translation and publications of ancient Kannada literature, organizing state and national workshops, camps, dialogues and seminars for jain literature and ancient Kannada literature every year, in the book formation of seminars on seminars, Arranging a series of special lectures series. Apart from this, the objectives of the Center are to facilitate the study of Ph.D, M.Phil and Diploma in M.A., Ph.D. Associate Degree Course for Kannada literature and history and archaeological issues.
