The texts (both written and oral) are placed in the larger matrix of culture to research on various issues related to history, society, polity. The literary texts are read and interpreted in the light of recent theories so as to re-read them from the context of the present. The Department has so far organized several seminars and come out with publications on Cultural interface of old texts from the point of view of present context of globalization, nativism and other issues.[\/stm_title][vc_single_image image=”5441″ img_size=”1000×300″ style=”vc_box_shadow_3d”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

oBC Cell( <\/strong>Special Unit for Backward Classes and Minorities)<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Special Unit for Backward Classes and Minorities has been working very smartly in Kannada University for almost 25 years. About 300 students have studied internally in various departments of Kannada University in various courses like Ph.D., M.A.Ph.D., M.Sc.Yoga, M.A. Journalism, M.Music, B.Music, Visual Arts etc. Students are provided free meals and accommodation in two separate hostels. In addition, free Wi-Fi is provided by the university. The system is done. SSP to all students in the form of fee reimbursement through the unit. The fee refund will be directly credited to the student’s account. Apart from this, Devaraj Arasu, Pupil Scholarship and Maulan Azad Pupil Scholarship are provided to the students. JRF, SRF, ICSSR and ICHR scholarships are provided to students by the state and central governments. And on the occasion of the birth anniversary of D.D.Devaraju Arasu, a special lecture and other recitation programs are being conducted by the special unit. Thus the unit has been making many poems for the academic development of the students.<\/p>\n
